10 Days…5 New Songs…Oh, Joy!

Beginning on Friday (May 23) we are going to start posting one new song on our MySpace that you can listen to as many times as you want over the course of 48 hours. After the two days are up, the song will be taken down and a new song will take its place. This will go on for 10 days, giving you 5 brand new songs to listen to off of our new album “Strength Like Lions”. We are ecstatic with how this record turned out and just can’t wait till June to let you guys hear some of it. Just remember to check in at our MySpace starting at 12:01 a.m. on Friday. Enjoy!

Introducing: Strength Like Lions

The time has finally arrived!

The mixing for our new album, Strength Like Lions, is complete! To celebrate this long awaited milestone, we have debuted the shiny new clairmont online website along with our new and improved myspace page.

You are definitely going to want to check those out, because you might just find a new song to listen to off the new album.

Clairmont’s Latest Projects

We have really been slacking on the blog posts of late.  We are very sorry!  However, all this slacking that has been occurring is the direct result of us working very hard on a few different projects.

First and most importantly, we are just about to start the mixing process for our album, so we are rushing to get all the last minute details taken care of.

Secondly, all three of us have been creating and putting together our new and improved website for clairmontonline.com and a brand new myspace layout as well.  We are very excited with how both of these projects are turning out and can’t wait for you guys to be able to use them.

Our last excuse is that we spent last weekend playing shows in the Conroe/Houston area.  Thanks to everyone who made it out to those.  If you are wondering when the next opportunity to see us live will be, we are scheduled to play on these dates:

April 22 @ Fitzwilly’s – College Station, TX   w/ Ethan Durelle and Dignan

April 25 in Houston, TX

Possible D/FW shows on May 2,3

I heard that song twice today.  Which means it will be in my head for at least 3 days.

Anyways, It feels like it has been a while since we have updated you guys on whats going on with the record.  On monday, Josh will patch up some vocal parts and then Michael will go in on Tuesday to lay down some serious tambourine tracks.  Once all is completed….thus begins the mixing stage.  Keith of the Mix Lab will be heading up that process and he plans on spending about 2-3 weeks on it.  After that, we will take a few listens and determine whether or not we are all pleased with it, and if so, we’ll send it off to be mastered and duplicated.  Exciting huh?

For now, we will keep posting videos.  We hope you are enjoying them!

If you are near College Station, you should stop by our show this Saturday night at Fitzwilly’s.  It starts at 10pm and it will be with Buxton and Lifters.  Come on out and hang out with us!

Vocal Magic!

Vocals are done! We are now a couple of tambourines and bells shy of finding ourselves in the mixing stage. We are unbelievably excited.
